CC Ezine Binder Cover

The 1st edition of the Cricut Circle e-zine was published yesterday and being a compulsive magazine-aholic I promptly printed up all the pages!
I re-purposed an old old binder to hold this and future zines in.

I don't have Cricut Potpouri so the closest to THE BUG that I have is this grasshopper off of Stretch your Imagination. The font is Don Juan.

Peacocks-Yeah Baby!

Guess what my fave cut is on French Manor?! LOL

I made a bunch of these cards this weekend to share with my brothers.
For the faux stone back grounds I used Ranger Alcohol Inks (eggplant and bottle green) on Glossy white card stock and a little gold mixative. I didn't think that they were quite dazzling enough for my birdies so I lightly misted them with Tattered Angels gold glimmer mist.

The blue and purple peacocks got some extra TLC-I dabbed Ranger gold paint on their tails and then added some dots of shimmery blue Smooch.

I couldn't waste any of those nice back grounds so I created another card using the oval cut out and just the black shadow of the bird.

blop blop blog hop!

Good Friday morning. Welcome to the CRICUT CARD FAIRY FIRST EVER BLOG HOP!
And a big welcome to you if you hopped over from Pam's spot!

I will be giving away some blog candy ( Cuttle Bug folders nom nom nom!) on Sunday evening- just leave me a comment and I will use the random number generator to pick a winner.

Let me tell you about the CRICUT CARD FAIRIES first. They sprung from an idea that Crystal had (Cards for Soldiers); she figured hey our Soldiers loved the card we were sending, why not use our massive amounts of supplies and talent to help anyone that needs a pick me up or lift. So she asked on the cricut message board in April 2008 and two years and 620 plus missions later we are still going strong. We are a group of VOLUNTEERS who love our circuts, love making cards, and love spreading cheer through said cards. We have sent all over the United States, Canada, Australia, and even Germany and other parts of Europe. We send all types of cards: birthday, good thoughts, sympathy, well wishes, get better soon, and so many more.

My card today features French Manor and Lacey Labels- ohh la la- tres belle!

So are you ready to HOP!?

next stop is...

Bee Jay's Bog

if you get lost go back to our commanders blog

I have been so swamped but did manage to make one card w/ French Manor this weekend.
I also used one of my new Tim Holtz Texture folders for the background relief.

The Circle is Here!!!

I am soooooo excited -after a few days away scrapping in the desert for my birthday I came home to my Cricut Circle welcome box.
What a great gift from my hubby-he is THE best!
I just wish that I weren't so doggone busy that I could cut with French Manor!!! (I also got Lacey Labels and Celebrate with Flourish on Wednesday- it was most definitely a bumper crop of cartridges for me this week!)

I just saw that my bunting (pictured 2 posts below) made the6/29 Cricut Chirp !

Here are pix of another project that I did using the Independence Day cartridge.
This was a mini book that I made for my brother Peter to hold his photos from President Obama's inauguration last January.

3 cheers for the red white and blue

How did I ever manage to get by before my mother- in- law gave us this hall tree? It seems to be the first thing that I decorate for any holiday!
I used the Cricut Independence Day Seasonal cartridge to create this patriotic bunting for it.
