Penny Black Saturday Card

Finally, I had a chance to do a card challenge again!
I really wanted to use these sweet little Prima posies- what I did to mount them on the card was to stamp and color the kitty image, then I poked holes in the roses and threaded the flower stems through and taped them to the back side.
Corner punch-EK Success,PP- BG Boxer, CS- DCWV, PrismaColor pencils blended w/ Gamsol.

PS- the Copics class yesterday was FABULOUS! If you get the chance to go to one- GO! They are a bit pricey but they do give you a very nice wallet with a sampling of markers- 2 originals, 2 sketch, a Ciao,a wide, 2 writers, a bottle of ink, and a bottle of blending solution. The fact that it was in the Prima HQ was really fun too- kind of Like Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory for scrappers!

Baby Bear Card

Here's a baby card that I made using a digital image from CC Designs. (My blogging buddy Lesa Rapp is on their DT and I am one of her biggest fans. I had been seeing her cute bears for so long on her blog that I had to buy some!)
The patterned papers are from a Making memories tablet that I got at Michaels.
The sentiment is from SU!
It is colored in with my trusty BIC MarkIt pens (I am soooo looking forwards to my Copics class this weekend and then armed with some Copic knowledge I will actually purchase :::GULP!::: some Copic markers and have some different colors to work with :::Yay!:::)
I got a big bag of plain uncolored Primas a few weekends ago and love how they look spritzed with Tattered Angels glimmer sprays.
Corner punch is from EK Success decorated with a dot of Ranger Perfect pearls.

Big Girl Daisy

I haven't posted any puppy pix in awhile because my baby is not so much of a baby anymore. She now has a couple weeks of puppy school under her belt and got spayed at the beginning of the month. (The week of her in her "elizabethan collar" was NOT fun!)
These pix show her enjoying her new "baby" that the Easter bunny brought her. The stuffed carrot lasted about 5 minutes but the bunny is hanging in there.

Little Birdie

This card was heavily influenced by a card in the SU! Winter mini supplement. Rather than using the Sizzix dies used for their sample I used my Cricut to cut the images. The card shape is from Wild Card, the birdie and branch are from Story Book, the scalloped circles are from mini monograms.I also used the cuttlebug embossing folder on the ivory circle, patterned paper is K and Company, ribbons COD wholesale.com

It's good to be home!

My son and I got back yesterday from our last college tours road trip up to Northern California - now it's just up to him to decide which school that he wants to go to (I really really liked Cal State Sonoma on this trip!)

Here's a card that I did a few weeks ago using a Digital Stamp Oasis image, colored in with BIC MarkIt pens, patterned paper is from Imaginisce.Ribbon is American Crafts.

Leg Hug

Isn't he cute?!
I am not usually the hugest of Changito fans (something about his skinny lil monkey arms puts me off) but when I saw this at the stamp sale yesterday I couldn't resist.
It appears that Stampendous has a new way of doing their stamps- they are rubber on a foam cushion with a piece of plastic cling material (similar to decorative window clings) that you use with an acrylic block. They stuck well and stamped great and the price was definitely right. I got this guy , a Fluffle, some Easter chicks, and one of their cute bees.Pretty good stamp haul for one day!
I colored him in with my cheapie BIC MarkIt pens. I can't wait until the end of the month- I am going to take the Copic Certification course at Prima in Chino. Then I will invest in some proper pens!

Huzzah!!!

My computer is back! I had a great day of stamping yesterday (9 hours worth out at a SU! stamp camp- great fun, great company, great projects) This AM I am going to a vendor sale at a LSS- they are having Stampendous and there was mention of unmounted rubber- so I am hoping to score some serious Fluffles!
This card is one of my creations from last week while we under construction and I was holed up in the stamp cave- it features an images from Digital Stamp Oasis. The lovely patterned papers are from Die Cuts With a View - one of their recent glitter stack offerings- really yummy.
I used a couple of my Martha punches to do the leaves and butterfly.
I was really pleased with how this card turned out.

progress report

The new windows look great but they were unable to finish the project until today- they are coming back to do our patio doors. So I have my fingers crossed that my husband will be able to get my computer set back up this afternoon!
I have been busy in the stamp cave creating and can't wait to share my projects.

PS- Ellie is offering some great blog candy over on her blog
Just make a card using her sketch and post a link in the comments to be entered!
