What's Cookin' Bella

Here's a card that I did last week as a little thank you tuck -in to go with cook books that my son sold for his school.(I apologize if you have seen it before- I've posted it in a couple forums but I am working on my CX design team stuff this week so don't have anything fresh to show you. I might take some pix of the LO's that I did last week on my scrappy getaway but you know I like my cards a lot better than my LOs!)
The Bella's were images that I got from the PIF group at SCS. I also used some super ancient Anna Griffin back ground paper (boy- did it feel good to use that up!) The background stamp is prolly 10 years old- it was from back when CTMH was DOTS.I used the fun little SU! spiral punch along the top.And the Bella was colored in w/ my trusty BIC MarkIt pens. The inside sentiment was cut with my Cricut and the Graphically Speaking cartridge.

Die cut to the Max

The latest challenge at Caardvarks is right up my alley- die cuts. Y'all know how I love my Cricut! Here's a cute little project that I did using the Walk In My Garden cartridge.
(Sorry about the weird shadows on the photos- it was from the morning sunlight coming through the window frame)

Bird Land

Aren't these a fun bunch of birdies? Michaels is now carrying the Inkadinkadoo acrylic stamp sets and with my 40% off coupons I just can't resist them. I have already gotten 2 sets in as many weeks.
I used my cricut and the storybook cartridge to cut the marquee shapes and the patterned papers are by Scenic Route.

How about another Bella?

I really haven't been all that creative this week-I had colored most of these images while I was on vacation this August (I have to get my creative fix where ever I go!). It was simply a matter of finishing up a card to position them on.I always need birthday cards so I thought that Ms Cupcake-a-Bella fit the bill quite nicely. I try to send a card out to all the girls on the CX list RAK list every month so I tend to power right though my pile of available cards.
I glopped some crystal lacquer on the cherry and stickles on the cupcake frosting. The image is colored in with my trusty lil' BICs.Did a little Cuttlebug action on the card front and eh voila!

What's a Chichiboulie?

I saw these wonderful images on the Stamping Bella web site and promptly placed a wish for them over on SCS WishRAK. Apparently, nobody else knew what a "chichiboulie" was either because I never got any until I revised my wish to read "Eloise Greengrass" who is one of the chichiboulies . (That name is so cute I just love saying it-it reminds me of those old Japanese stuffed monkey toys called the monchichis!)
I colored this darling fairy with my trusty BIC MarkIt pens. I used crystal Stickles on her wings and a little fruit punch on the hem of her skirt. Added some Hero Arts pearls to her skirt as well. She really makes me smile.

Just call me...

"the web slinger"!

I got all these cool cuttlebug spider web backgrounds from several kind girls in WishRAK over at SCS.

I did the first one - with the spider (how creative and original-NOT!) and couldn't leave well enough alone and got out my Versamak pad and drawer of embossing powders.

The one with the Bella witch (that one a RAK from the PIF group- I just love all my Rak- pals!) I used ultra sparle EP on it- looks like an early morning dew covered web. The one with the mummy just has clear ep on it and it really makes the embossing POP!

Mini Box

I found this fun little project over at the Scor-Pal website . Credit goes to Jen del Muro for the inspiration.
I used the Cricut Joys of the Season cartridge to cut the pointsettias. I have to say that they are making me like the cart. more-it is definitely NOT one of my fave cart.s (I don't quite get why you would really want to cut the 12 days of Christmas more than once!) but the cart is growing on me for certain cuts. On the tags inside-I cut the pointettia on the ornament function and then cut the hanger thingie off the top. That left me with a nice negative space of the pointettia to build upon.
I also used Mini Monograms for the shapes- again the font is not one my faves-if you cut it small some of the bits are too fiddley to work with HOWEVER it is great for cutting any sized scalloped circle or square that you want and that in and of if itself is worth the cost of the cart.

A Fall Face Lift for My Blog

If you hadn't noticed I've been fiddling about with the look of my blog (us artsy crafty gals can never leave well enough alone!)

The darling art work for my header I procured from Rachelle Anne Miller.

The background I am still fiddling with -I can't quite get it to display properly yet.
It is from The Cutest Blog On the Block.

Back to basics

Here's a simple little card that features embossing (one of those techniques that you learn ,fall in love with, and then rarely do!)The embossing works nicely as a resist- I sponged some brown ink over it for shadowing and then wiped the ink off the embossed portions so that it only stuck to the paper underneath.

Stamps-
Agapanthas- Stampendous
Poetry by William Blake - Wordsworth
Canvas background- SU!

The age old question

to mothers everywhere- "what's for dinner?"
I got tired of thinking up something everyday and decided to be more organized and made this little box. It contains index cards- with the shopping lists for the entrees in my culinary repetoire

.My plan is to hand the box to my husband or son and have them pull a couple that they would like ,and then take the cards with me to the store to shop for the ingredients.

The paper is from American Traditional Designs(I picked it up for $2 at Big Lots- I find the best deals there!)

I used my Cricut to cut the pie and turkey (Paper Doll dress Ups cartridge) and Alphalicious for the lettering.I put some crystal lacquer on the lettering to make them pop a bit more.

I also used the SU! tab punch for the labels.

The box is a plastic sidewalk chalks box that re-purposed for this project.
