Why TY Santa...

it's just what I wanted-how ever did you know?!
Santa got me this fabulous tower to store my Copics in. Before they were just all jumbled up in a basket. I am so much inspired seeing them all together in their happy little color shading families!
As You can see I still have some collecting to do- I have my brights on one side and neutrals on the other with lots of room on the neutrals side for some more brights to creep over. I seriously need some more violet pens.

Sophie Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Here is a card that I made using the Cricut Sophie cartridge.
The patterned papers are from Melissa Francis, SU!, and Basic Grey.
I love how the flower looks with the edges inked , rolled and covered in glitter.
(I call this the Michelle Novak technique because she does it all the time-I just wish that I knew what brand of chunky glitter that she uses?)

Leave me a comment with your email addy for a chance to win some blog candy (as my nickname is Stampin' Meg, I think that I will give away a couple stamp sets and some inks!)
Check back on Monday for the winner :-)

Shabby Chic Gift Bag

I used a sheet of Recollections paper as the base. The rose card is the hand book project from the Art Philosophy cartridge.
The bird I cut from white card stock and Sophie. I used a variety of direct to paper techniques to color the layers. The solid base is Jade Ice chalk pad, the top layer was an old Fabrico pad that I over-sprayed w/ jazz blue Tattered Angels glimmer mist.
The seam binding was colored with the glimmer mist that I had left on the surface of my sink after spritzing the bird!

The butterfly card also uses the Teresa Collins Black and white Imagine cart- I printed the damask paper and the pink polka dots with it. The butterfly, flowers and shaped card are from Sophie.

A New Love

I made this Lay Out with Memory Works Simple Stories 100 days of summer line.
I am so enamored of their concept of slicing and dicing their papers up to make pages with. The designs are just so great-I hate having to commit to using just one side of the papers (they are all double sided) I might have to get doubles from here on out.
This LO features SS papers and stickers. The flower is Prima and the silver studs are Imaginisce.

Putting the flowers to work!

Here's a card that I started yesterday-I picked up the Penny Black mousies stamp @ From the Heart in Claremont on the So Cal Shop Hop.The images is painted w/ Lyra watercolor crayons.
The background papers are Making Memories.Label Shape is a Spellbinders Nestability die, border punch is Martha Stewart.
I used CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart to make the dimensional flower, the sentiment (stamped w/ the coordinating CTMH stamp-I love that!) and the little white photo corners were cut with the cart as well.

Dimensional Flowers w/ Cricut

How pretty are these little buds?!
Using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge-I cut them @ 3 inches.I then rolled them from the outside edge in on a hemostat. And stuck the coiled petals down with an adhesive glue dot( I tried regular glue with my first one and it was just a big hot mess as the glue stayed too wet and everything uncoiled) I might try a low temp heat gun or Fabric Tac Glue on subsequent attempts.
OK back to my stamp cave to cut some more @ different sizes and in different colors and prints....
PS_ I also stuck a pink Prima pearl at the base of a few of them.
