Simply Charmed

I had to break in my newest cartridge and the next holiday seems to be Valentine's Day although it seems rather wrong to be making Valentine's while the Christmas tree is still up!
Patterned paper is a little 8.5x8.5 pad from K and Company called Sleepy Tree Seasonal paper pad and is perfect w/ this cartridge as the artwork is splattered with lil smiling faces!
I also used lacy labels to make the scalloped square mat and Martha Stewart lacy edge punch.

Imagine a shirt!

I used my Cricut Imagine to jazz up this long sleeved pink tee shirt.
The image is printed and cut with My Cricut Imagine from the Lori's Garden Cartridge. It is done on an iron on transfer sheet intended for printing from the computer. My husband picked them up for me @ Wally World and are made by Hirschberg Schultz & Co.
I would recommend slowwing the cut speed down on the Imagine as mine didn't cut quite completely on medium. But it was easy enought to snip the few uncut bits with a small pair of scissors.
I added rhinestone embellishments- initially using my i-rock which I ultimately just threw away (my second one!) and got a Tulip heat setter instead which worked a million times better!

Holiday Gift Box

I made this box using a chip board ProvoCraft box(not sure if they make them anymore?), Basic Grey papers, and Cricut Winter Woodland-I cut snowflakes #1 and 4 and layered them on top and then blinged them up a bit.
I finished the edges of the box with Adirondak paint daubers and sponged gold Kaiser Craft paint around the side.

2 more holiday cards

I confess to having hoards of Basic Grey papers and the Christmas patterns are no exception being snapped up a year later at discounted price when the new holiday patterns come out- these are Figgy Pudding and Wassail.
I used the Cricut Christmas cards seasonal cart for the cuts -except for the Santa is actually one of the gnomes off of Freshly Picked.
CuttleBug folders used liberally as well.

Some ATC Schtuff

Yikes- I have not done an ATC in prolly over a year.
One of my old school chums that I found again on Face Book is also a stamper so what better motivation to make one again.
I got this Tim Holtz stamp @ Crop Girls in Peoria ,AZ last month. I heat embossed it w/ Ultra Fine black EP. I really like how my sky turned out- it is just Color Box Petal Point pigment inks rubbed over the image direct to paper and then blended with a tissue rubbed over the top. I dabbed some gold acrylic paint around the edges and added an ancient Making Memoreis foreign coin brad.

Imagine Ornament

I made this ornament w/ Lori's Garden. I cut the lace scallop image 4 times at 3 inches. Folded the images in half and ran through my Xyron adhesive machine and then stuck them together with a length of sea foam DMC embroidery floss in the middle. I tied on a white satin ribbon and a Heidi Swapp chandelier crystal. I decorated the printed dies with Stckles- Baby Blue Eucalyptus, and Icicle.

woot woot woot!

I just got back from the Sizzix warehouse sale in Lake Forest and got all this loot for $56!!!
It will still be going on tomorrow AM -if you are local...GO! Details are @ their website

I am in Love!

I just got the Lori's Garden for my Cricut Imagine- it is sooooooo lovely. It is going to be getting quite a work out!The images are very pretty, dainty, and feminine. They remind me a lot of Anna Griffin Style.
I had the cart all of 5 minutes when I HAD to make a card with it- this is what I came up with. It ended up being 5 layers(and I didn't even use all the layering possibilities)I love the script background that I used to flood fill the default label shape.

Ginger Joy w/ Kate's Kitchen

I finally had a chance to play with my Imagine a bit and did my 1st project with Kate's Kitchen. I am "pickled tink" with how this garland came out.
I cut the gingerbread boys and girls @ 5 1/2 inches. I was able to get 6 out of one sheet of 12 x 12 ,but had to just cut them 3 at a time or the Imagine would want to spread it out over 2 sheets!
The little hearts I did at 2 inches with the default heart on the imagine filled in w/ the red pattern from Kate's Kitchen. The scallop heart I cut at 2 1/2 inches out of plain beige card stock. The brown bottons I cut from the Paisley cart at 3/4 of an inch. And the letters 1 1/2 inches are from Story Book.

*cut all on TRUE size*

Imagine Goodie Bags

I made this little holiday treat holder using Imagine Best Friends- the purse is one of the bonus features.
I selected the "cut only" mode on my Imagine and cut it @ 9 inches using Basic Grey Figgy Pudding paper.
For the little tag- I used the tree that is pre-loaded on the Imagine.I cut the outer red tree @ 2.2 and the green tree @ 2 inches.
The stamp is a very ancient DOTS one and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.
I rubbed a little gold acrylic paint around the edges.
Easy Peasy!

Butterfly Card

I made this card with the butterfly image from Imagine More. I printed and cut it twice, added a little Stickles, then folded the top butterfly and glued him to the flat one. The back ground shape is one of the ones already loaded on the Imagine filled with a design from Imagine More.
The shaped card is off the Christmas Cards seasonal cartridge.

Cricut Circle Blog Weekly Contest Entry

This contest asked us to use our Circle Exclusive Cart French Manor and bling.

I did the "sunflower" cut using my Imagine- I filled in the golden pattern with the Imagine Mystical Garden cartridge. The "bonjour" I cut out of black cardstock on my Expression(didn't want to use all that black ink on my Imagine!)

Then I just went to town adding the bling w/ my i-rock(LOVE that tool!)
I used my Adirondak gold paint daubers to add some gilding around the edges.

Celebrate w/ Flourish plus Imagine More

Oh me Oh My- I am in LOVE! I used my Celebrate w/ Flourish witch image in my Imagine and filled in the colors and pattern off my Imagine More cartridge-what fun trying out the different color combos and getting to preview them on the screen before cutting!

The post office is going to love my Imagine because I have been layering all my cuts up on two layers of pop dots- making them extra fat and requiring an extra stamp to mail.LOL

For the card shape I broke in my new Christmas cards Seasonal solutions cart- this is shape #6 and I made it out of some ancient Pizzazzil paper-remember that?!

When I saw these elements on the childs' growth chart in Nursery Tails, I knew that I wanted to isolate, print, and cut them. Then combine them with the doily card from Wild Card.
I added some punched branches (Martha Stewart),bows, inked edges, and Stickles to complete the cards.

First Imagine Projects

What great timing- my Cricut Imagine came yesterday-just in time for World Card Making Day today WOOO HOOOO!
I am really loving it-it does use a slightly different mind set than working with the regular Cricut but I was up and running with it in about an hour.
But I feel like I am only scratching the surface and still have a lot more to learn.

This is one of the first projects that I made- a kraft 4 x 4 top fold card base.I cut the matting elements from Imagine More- I changed the pattern and color on the green layer, flipped the lined layer w/ the blue base, cut the flowers from a different element (added some Stickles and a little ribbon)I can see that I will be using lots of pop dots with the layers cut on the Imagine.

The "HI" I cut from black cardstock on Bugzilla (my Expression) from Story Book. I didn't want to use the black ink from Iggy (my Imagine) until I find some place that is selling the ink refills-until then I plan on being pretty frugal with my prints/cuts.

Left-Over Vamp card

I had a couple of vampires left over from when I did my coffin candy treat boxes so I threw this card together.
I really like all the frame options on the Happy Hauntings cartridge. I popped the center out of this frame and ran through the Cuttlebug spider webs embossing folder.

Happy Hauntings!

My stamp cave was starting to look like a mini coffin factory with all these lil candy boxes!I actually made twice the amount that I needed because when I initially cut them I cut the tops and bottoms and at the same size thinking that the cartridge would have been designed to cut the bottoms smaller so that they could nest- NOPE! SO learn from my mistake and cut the bottoms 1/4 inch smaller and they nest up just fine!
